They did John. Don’t want to post too much bike related content on Instagram as there will be locals who know me and I don’t tend to highlight what bikes I own for fear of them going walkies. I usually stop outside the house, throw my lid and jacket inside and ride round to the garage and put it away. With the new garage there won’t even be a need for that now, just pull up, open the shutter and put it away.

Too right; some ****s had a got at my bike in broad day light when it was chained up in "secure car park" with peoples windows only 4' away. Even if scumbags don't manage to steel a bike, they do a lot of damage in the process.

Stencils cost me £70 including postage. Bearing in mind they’re mild steel and 1.5-2mm thick they weigh quite a bit, so I was quite pleased.

For anyone interested in a little extra security I got a Wannsview K3 security camera for Christmas following the wife buying one for the kitchen to keep an eye on the dogs when we’re out! (Yeah, crazy right!)
They are REALLY clear although they only work on the 2.4ghz WiFi band not the 5gig but they record crystal clear views including 2 way sound if you want to inform the burglars that they’ve been caught red handed and you can carry out a snapshot if you want to present evidence to someone.....and the price....£18!

You need WiFi available but there is a memory card option if you wish and it even sends a notification to you phone once it’s been triggered. Only downside is you have to pay £60 per year for cloud access to store up to 7 days viewing or you'd have to use the memory card option if you didn’t take up on it. IMO £60 is cheap for 12months security!

nice camera, you could try adding a tiny led bulb... literally a couple of watts, it should make night time look like daytime/lights on time

I use normal every day 3watt led bulbs at work and leave them on 24/7.... works out about £3/year in electric if it's on 24/7

chances are if you're robbed it'll be at night

- unless the light will attract burglars... then look for an infrared light instead (assuming the camera can pick it up)

Cheers buddy. I’ve already purchased an outdoor Wannsview camera with infrared sensors for £33 for the outside so it’ll cover all aspects. The £60 cloud fee covers 3 x cameras as well.

TBF Gaz it doesn’t bother me. There’s nothing that can compromise my garage security there other than it may be possible to view the feed. I don’t have wireless security locks or anything similar. The camera is only accessed via the app with my own password and with the WPA2 WiFi password that has been set by me or with a link password sent by me.

Called into Machine Mart earlier and picked up a tool storage board. Never been the greatest fan of these and some of the pressed brackets are poo but it’s generally ok for £35 odds.

It might prove useful.

ideal if only for getting stuff off the bench...cant beat them for having stuff to hand but out the way at the same time

Looks good but I've never got on with them...I end up knocking the pins out when I'm pulling stuff off the wall...I stick with good old sterling board and a few screws. TimberLok screws are excellent as they do nice long ones and they are only threaded at the ends.

Another coat of paint yesterday and next door neighbours wall. I need more paint again. Dropped another footing in for her ladyships summerhouse Yesterday and today was a chance to drop a few blocks onto the footing
but I only had 5-6 shovel fulls of sand so not much

Garage is really coming together well...

For garage security I went with a cheap wireless PIR....works really well and I have the chime plugged into the bedroom socket so if anyone gets into the garage the chime will alert me.

Cheers @Pigeon_Droppings2 I get the alerts from the camera Real time and it records the footage and uploads it to a cloud account. You can even screenshot to use as evidence if required.
