That's that batch cleaned. Deburr. And ready for paint.
I would like to know your secret - how you get them so clean so quickly?
No elves here....just a nimble set of paws.He has an army of elves.....
Yes. That little chip. I have a few repairs to do. Also I going to paint the teeth casting numbers on each gear in silver to match...I see a repair thread coming up on that gear, Spencer
Will you braze that?Yes. That little chip. I have a few repairs to do. Also I going to paint the teeth casting numbers on each gear in silver to match
Not sure brad. There is s couple of little bits like that to do. Once I have done em all I will then assess and pick the best methodWill you braze that?
Was at a younger age...but this evening I made a start on painting the gear numbers. Got to cut in when its dry but gives me a visualIt may not be elves, but I may have guessed it, Spencer has told us he was a traveller, I wonder of he was connected with the fairs and kept some rides or machines clean, shiny and in working order. I am thinking old showmans engines and some of the steam rides? Once again, I am amazed at the shine! That machine is going to be a total pleaseure to use, as all machines should be!

It's a dent. I looks like someone has used a 0 stamp .not much I can do with it but will have another look this weekend as its really annoyingIs it a badly-placed dent on 19TPI on the screwcutting plate or has someone tried to use mechanical Tippex to correct it?
Today.
Made a start sorting out the lathe plaques. Trying to do these with fouling the original black of the numbers. But if need then I will have to re do them. View attachment 227386

Unfortunately no wire wheels used here. This is done with different grades of wire wool. The picture was taken in the first stage of progress hence the very light scratches. The little odd lumps of wire you see in the picture between the two plaques are from a wire brush yes.
Ha, I know your secret this pic gave the game away - mounted wire brush heads

Yes. A good 95 percent of my works is done with different grades of wire wool. Wire brushes.Internal bores too? I have some on the Quorn parts which will need cleaning out.
