More dumb questions from the back…
What sort of screws are they holding the column slidey thing on? (The four on the pcd-sorry I’m sure it’s got a proper name!)
The holes look spot faced but not deep enough for a regular screw.

The cover plate over the bronze nut? you can buy half depth socket head/cap screws.

I did have some stainless ones, useful things from time to time

Reduced head like you have on brake calipers so have a 7mm hex
