You're worrying about nothing with that 2-speed motor. It looks like a closed frame motor which means that the cooling air is sucked into the end bell then blown down the finned outside of the housing to cool the casing. There's no path for the chips to get to the inside of the motor to cause any electrical short. The worst that could happen is that a chip got caught in the fan but that is also so unlikely that it's not worth worrying about.
