New Compressor

This might get me moving in the right direction.
I have ordered 30m of 1/4 hose.
2 x male 1/4
2 x fem 1/4
2 x male 3/8
2 x fem 3/8
Bsp quick release connectors.
Bsp male to female nipple bush adaptor bsp 3/8 to 1/4
Bsp reducer male 3/8 to 1/4.

Later i will fit a moisture collector inside the shed and have quick release connectors fiitted, i intend to use the compressor around the front of the house and at my shed down the bottom of the garden.

30m of 1/4" hose ?, shouldn't that read 3/8" or 10mm.

Well is said in th ad 1/4" is the internal size of the pipe.
I don't know whats right or wrong......im new to this compressor lark...lol

The guy on the phone recons 68db...............i thought that a bit low though.

86db will be at 7 meters distance away if it,s like the tests for the caravan one's

Got to look closer at new compressor today.

Checked the oil levels = empty.
Poured little petrol in AND THIS HAPPENED.



Great start and the customer service isn't much cop either.

It would be posted dry, wouldnt want it falling over in courier van and oil pouring out.

just got a cut 40 plasma from lts and had parts missing, ordered Saturday, here Tuesday, complained via email that night and they called me saying they lost my order details which who is why they didn't send it all. No order details but still have my number

I wouldn't expect there to be fuel in the tank but I didn't expect the carb drain plug to be missing either. Tank of fuel straight on the floor. Grrrr.

I expect its been tested at some point then tank and carb drained then forgot to refit drain. What have they said about it? My missing parts are a no show, meant to be here yesterday so in same place your in, £200 on a product I can't use

I was told they will post a hole new replacement carb, I should get it Monday.

It looks very much like the one on my 6.5hp generator, do you want to sell the old main jet/needle when you get the replacement?, mine's worn/over fuelling

I think i will keep the carb that arrived today for a spare.

My compressor so far.

On further investigation i found the fuel pipe not conected, do compressors normaly come like this?



Just to the left of the fuel pipe in the picture there is a plastis screw it actauly does nothing cos there is nothing attached to it.

The carb air filter is attached to plastic cover that has a pipe exiting from it, so i take it, it goes here...see pic



Just above the pipe is a bracket type thing..Anybody know what this is for? here it is.

Also is it ok to run a four stroke compressor on normal engine oil?
There are three places to fill with oil, a filler plug near the pistons (orange cap on photo), i purchased 15/40 mineral oil for this. (hope thats correct)



AND Two filler plugs near the motor, one each side for this i purchased 10w/30 oil...see filler caps in photo.



The throttle seems useless, i moved it and the conecting rod didn't even move slightly whats more the throttle lever actualy bent, what a bucket of ****e i have bought.

I put the air filters on like this.



One more thing.....lol

Can someone tell me what is this?



Thank you for any help that you can provide on this matter regarding my compressor.
I might try and start it tomorrow...then run very fast incse it blows up.

All i want is some air..........lol
