They are very good machines. Incidentally the ForceArc program is very good for full pen, long stickout welds in narrow preps. 30 degree included angle single sided full pen butt welds on 40mm mild steel plate is well within the machines capabilities.

Never done any steel or stainless with it, only Alu so far, intend to get gas one day to try out the SS wire I have.

Was using it again on one of the Cheetah Cats making a Mackerel Gurdy/stripper box and still loving it. The vertical welds are a dream to do with it. Never really had major issues with a standard Mig with positional welding but it usually took a bit of tweaking of voltage and wire feed to get right, the EWM being Synergic makes it a breeze and the pulse just makes it even better. Pic below of one of them.

Also was good to see the trailer I widened and lowered is still intact

Just watched your video. The quick connector on the gas hose is for connecting the hose to the back of the machine by the way .

LOL, I discovered that the day after I got it

I just had another quick play with it, been quiet here so not used it this week, fillet came out perfectly, nice quick start, I even had a go with vertical up, not as pretty but very sound joint, used an inverted V type weave.

I was going to put the r-tech on here a couple of days ago but by then it had bids so i couldn't take it off the 'bay.

Custom joist hangers for a summer house i'm putting in the garden, lots of odd angles as its going in a corner. I'll be powder-coating them before fitting.

Well, now i know what happens, I can try any wire, i'll just trust the machine more than the wire. I have a full reel of Lincoln and another of Esab so won't need to buy any for a while
