Nice find at an even better price. There are two forums / groups Ive come across for raglan lathes: http://raglanmachinetools.freeforums.net/ and https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/RaglanMachineTools/info and I believe both have the manuals for little John lathes and separate thread cutting booklets too.

Congrats, ParmLooks like an awesome bit of kit and you have the screwcutting kit, which I missed on mine.
You're about to discover, I suspect, that this lathing thing that doubleboost makes look so easy is actually pretty hard!
My dad also makes it look very easy, unfortunately he isn't a very good teacher !!!

Often those that make it look easy aren't the best people to teach you, as they can't understand why you can't do it. Someone that's struggled to pick it up, knows your problems as they've been there & tend to be more patient. I know this doesn't always follow as there are a few, only a few thank goodness that take the attitude why should I tell you, why should I make it easy.

The plan is to go through the basics so I vaugly understand what's what, then start having a go and ask "is this ok" at this point step back, watch, pay attention and lesson will be commence. It seems to have worked almost every time so far

I've done that with dad but cheated slightly. He got an iPhone first, once he was comfortable with that, I got him an iPad which he picked up in about 5 minutes. He knows more about the iPad than I do (which isn't very difficult)

From my experience trying to learn milling, id been taught basics of both lathe and mill as an apprentice, never really used it for 25 years. Then bought lathe...second lathe first was crap, 4 th now learning as i go. Also bought a mill.
When i read about how to do xyz i think that sounds complicated. All number ratios, feed rates, etc. In reality its just a different language to we are all used to speaking.
Now i have a skip read, watch you tube and have a go. Using a dividing head for example was double dutch when i read it in one of my old text books, 5 minutes on u tube, and made a 27 tooth wheel. Shame i wanted 28 teeth, but that was down to not wearing my glasses and picking the wrong holes ring in the dividing plate.

You could search for a manual called "How to run a lathe" from Southbend.
It's American, but I think it is written in a easy way.
At least for the basics.

Good plan but I suspect all you'll see is - " you don't want to do it like that !!!! , you need to do it like this !!! What bit of that don't you understand "video it while hes teaching you then you can always go back to it and see where you went wrong later

oh i know we are going to get that thats why i said video it then we can have a laugh after while watching the instructions that your getting
think yourself lucky my bro teaches you once and expects you to get it right after that glad i can teach others and have some patients but get it wrong after ive taught you a few times im ripping your head of as you should have learnt by now
