It would be nice if they could make it smell like Castrol R.I think the nitrous car guys may be able to continue. If the suppliers add just a low concentration of certain sulfur compounds to it, they can make it smell too bad for recreational use, but have no effect on the engine.
There was a doctor out in the States who carried out experiments having depressed people breath mixtures of oxygen and nitrous and claimed it got good results. The work got published but never followed up. I suspect that was because it could not be patented, so no profits? However, there is a medical problem with nitrous in that continued use causes some kind of vitamin defficency.
Good. Hopefully I'll stop seeing those sodding blue cannisters littered everywhere.
silkolene 2 stroke oil be betterIt would be nice if they could make it smell like Castrol R.
I nearly came off my bike this year..some d1ckhead had spewn a load of empties on the road and the front wheel went right over them. This is the reason. Idiots using it to get face-off'd in their cars, dumping the canisters all over the road and driving about still under the influence. The high doesn't last long and they can't test for it so far as I know, so all they can do is make it illegal to have.

That’s the fellas. They fit into a “cracker” and the gas can be used to blow up balloons. Is that not the propellant used in canned whipped cream ?

That stuff is a 50/50 mix of Nitros Oxide and Oxygen.Entonox, I had it after a bad back was in complete agony.
Ah man that stuff was damn good
If the reason for it being illegal is the rubbish problem, could you send explain to me why Mc Donald's still exists?
4 quid a bottle poppers and freely available goes under the guise of liquid gold on the bottle labelUnfortunately, even if it were totally safe (it's pretty close, apart from the vitamin B12 issue - eat Marmite! Lots of Lovely Marmite!) the fact people enjoy it without contributing to tax or big business will bring it under the legislation on Psychoactive Substances which criminalise anything intended for personal enjoyment (but not for whipping cream...) - curiously "poppers" (organic nitrites which, er, dilate orifices, among their effects) are exempted thanks to the lobbying of a gay MP...

It is good stuff and I have seen people with quite painful injuries giggling like school kids while on it.
Not everyone responds that way but the laughter is just so infectious, it just lifts the mood a bit.

In 2020, there were 8,974 deaths from alcohol-specific causes registered in the UK.
You forget the first rule of Gov. Go for the people that cannot affect your chances of being re-elected but make it sound as if you have won the world cup singlehandedly. In 2020 there were 3 deaths associated with nitrous oxide in the UK.

(these are numbers from the UK govt website)
I do wonder if something else would not be more deserving of legislation.
