. I've already done the bores for them, minus the O-ring recess at the very top.
You did put in the 20° chamfers for sealing guide right?

No I just used drills to form the bores. On the original blocks, the O-ring at the bottom and the sealing ring half way up the body don't seal on the tapers, just on the surface on the actual bore itself.
I did look on various hydraulic companies websites and while I could find plenty of info like you say, I couldn't find much about the correct taper for the top O-ring recess. The tapers aren't for sealing - they are to assist in allowing the seals to pass into the next section without damage, pinching or rolling.
Your drills will have to have been in excellent condition to get a surface finish suitable for hydraulic sealing - 63 microinch is worse what I might specify.
Parker, James Walker, even suppliers like Eriks, have excellent guides on sizes, finishes, shapes etc for o-ring use and design.
probably don't meet the requirements for surface finish, it looks OK to me though.
The cartridges are Sterling Hydraulics E2B020.
Nice one Pete, I was looking at that catalogue, but had only got as far as pages 60 and 61
GT grinding if you need a custom
Tool.
the only people who I think may no would be @Johnnybravo or @pressbrake1
Will do, thanks.Try hydraulics online
They can't help with the form tools unfortunately, but I do have a tapered end mill on the way to cut the taper seat for the O-ringTry hydraulics online
They maybe could, I only asked them if they could supply the tooling to form the cartridge, which they can't. They did send me the drawings so I can do it myself though. They can't make you a new housing?
