Persistent scammer going on about IPv 4 and IPv 6

Oddly today I have received 4 phone calls no doubt from a smammer/s, how do I know this, smammers rarely/if never leave a voice mail, my thinking is if someone wanted to speak to me they would leave a voice message, never happens.

However I have noted a tact smammers/bots have been using for a while, it they can't get you in the first call, they try again multiple times during hours you are likely to have your phone with you receiving calls and not paying much attention to who is calling, they can be persistent to, I have learnt to ignore, they then stop for a while.

They are rarely one offs. These parasites seem to target a number range, then go at it hammer and tongs. I haven't had one for a month or so, but when I do there will be three or four in the course of a week. Complaints to the Indian Police end up in file 13 so no remedy there. It may be unfair to accuse them of being complicit, but it certainly looks like it. The calls come from vast office blocks with hundreds of scammers, often from Jaipur and some from whatever Calcutta is called this week.

It's basically a condoned Asian wide industry, they actual rent or build office complexes to run these scams from, it's well setup.

Indeed, the Scam Interceptors program on BBC One shows a lot of it.

If I've had to crawl out from under the car, found a way to stand up only to answer the phone to a scammer, they get both barrels.
I am always polite to wrong numbers, trying to sell me loft insulation etc.
A friend who used to do cold calling for life insurance much preferred the phone to be hung up or even be sworn at, the quicker the call ended, the quicker he was able to call the next person.

I've developed a Dapph's version of Stanley Unwins spoonerisms coupled with shaking my head , my family almost wet themselves the first few times I used it on cold callers ,.

Do it whilst shaking your head and letting your tongue hang loose like a wind sock flaping in a breeze :-
