I saw that on the midlands news last night, when they did the quick mention in the headlines I wondered if was the museum just up the road from me as they have quite a few buses stored outside.

Forgot to.post the new rusty project we got here, it needs welding and cleaning up but on the plus side it is a late bay with a 2 litre type 4 engine.

Thats looks in good condition what year is it?

My dad had one when we were younger, it was the 1600 (I think) petrol old M reg in Orange/white. Full pop top with double bunks.
With 5 of us in it and all our holiday gear it did struggle up the hills, but in the 16 years dad owned it there were only 3 times it let us down and 2 of those times dad managed to get it going again to get us home. The other time our uncle came and gave us a tow.
Have some great memories and plenty of stories about some of the places it went and scrapes it got into!

Its a V reg 79 so quite late and it does look in good condition but it has belly pans underneath hiding the sill and outriggers but i gave a price that reflects the risk, its great you have those memories i used to go away with a mates family in their camper so i want to go on some nostalgic treks.

I just had a look at our old one on DVLA and it's still going and taxed till March, so there's plenty of life left in yours yet!
I bet ours is like Triggers broom by now!

Saw this at a filling station near home today.

Had a chat with the owner.
Lovely guy, he's at least 70 and he also has the cabriolet version and a white turbo.

Not many beemers I covet but this is definitely one of them.
