That’s reminded me, my friend bought a DKW F7 in the late 60’s A bit of an oddity, 2cylinder 2stroke engine, front wheel drive. From what I recall, it was good on fuel, the footbrake was non-existent but the handbrake locked the wheels. We tried adjusting all the linkage, but it just seemed that was how it was built.

I thought perhaps a Wartburg. My first car was an NSU Prinz (sold to me by my boss for £12 in 1976) but it's not one of those. Looks Eastern European cold war style.

I did thousands of miles in those back in the early eighties. They were ridiculous but brilliant at the same time!

We've spent the last couple of weeks at 2 old car shows in the USA. Carlisle Pennsylvania, and Hershey. I've collected quite a bit of either oily or rusty metal to bring home at the swapmeets (read Autojumbles) for my Chevys- a '28 Touring and a '50 pickup. Also snapped some cars at both shows, most of the exotic stuff is from the Hershey show.

Duesenberg J -impressive big twin OHC motors in these-

At the same show I got a snap of the underbonnet of an SJ (supercharged) model

Rolls Royce Phantom... I believe that the left hand drive models like this one were USA built. Lovely car, but personally, not keen on chroming the wire wheels on a car like this

And just to prove that I didn't just snap Gazillion Dollar exotica, had a long chat with Mike, the owner of this 100E Ford. Apparently, he also has a four door and a van (known as the 300E model IIRC) under restoration at the moment.

A few snaps from the 'Car Corral' i.e. for sale area, there were a lot of 70s & 80s American cars there; but quite a lot of Brit cars too.

This Packard was lovely, $200k firm according to the ticket on the windscreen.

Surprised to find this mid fifties Morgan was LHD. Nice period 'Judson' blower on the Triumph TR2 motor.

This Triumph TR3A looked in good nick. $17500 asking price on this one.
