Here’s my post knocker build, the pics can tell it better than I can. Its all made from metal from about the place, apart from a couple of 25mm thick pieces at the hammer point. I first started with the 3 point linkage frame.
That was quite straight forward, I had a H girder in the yard It was all a bit hit and miss so that got chopped at 12 foot ,it actually stayed at 12 foot.
The top swing are, I made some bushing on the swing arm at the pivot point, and fitted a grease nipple.
The pullies I used are the Bradbury 4 post lift double pullies and pins, I lathed out the centres for the rope guides.
