When I was a kid my mates dad killed his Renault Espace in a ford. He found out that the air inlet is the lowest part of the car, and situated just behind the front bumper on themNot the engine itself that's the problem - its the filter inlet - one two of my cars is at or below wheel centre line, so which ever direction you go, if the water lever is over a few inches, its going to make some expensive noises.
