Another weekend on my van conversion.
Today was my first bout with 4-way stretch lining carpet. A "bit of a fight" and some stress ensued as I needed to get the carpet to mould into a recess.... and I'm not sure the stuff bought was as flexible & workable as the stuff I saw on YouTube!
It's done & looks fine - but it's not a job I enjoyed!
Still one more step along the way!
(Vans off gor a new cambelt & alternator belt 2moro - at 80k miles & no provided service record [ex-council vehicle] I'm nit taking any chances.

Dunno , the doors are propped at the bottom an inch from the skirting board , the other long edge is along the wall , doubt any bowing will occur all door furniture removed and doors trimmed to a few mm bigger than the width of the doors . each door marked on the top and bottom where it is intended to be fitted and where the hinges will be.

i was allways told to after buying doors from any where (internal doors)was to lay them flat some where in the house to get used to the temptures in the house (im assuming thats becasue most are stored in a warehouse that are cold or possably humid)for a few days
so ive done this on nearly every door ive bought apart from the door in our bedroom that i fitted after coming home from b and q and after a month there was a noteable bow in the doot from top to bottem the door shut ok but when shut the latch area was fine but the very top and the very bottem come out from the door frame about a 3mm to fix it i sanded the side off put it over 2 tressels wetted a towel (damp not soaking)and layed it along the edge that was bowed and put a bag of sand in the middle untill it was stright then took the towel off after a day and kepted the bag of sand on it while it was drying took off the tressels and layed it flat for a couple days and rehung and that fixed it but youed not want to do it in a persons house as to time consuming but as was my own it cost me nothing
