I've a 1990 Vogue SE 3.9l EFi V8 Automatic in the garage. Owned it since Y2K.

Great old bus, makes a fantastic noise. Like driving a leather armchair on wheels.

We only really stopped using it when the wife's Mini All4 came along, it manages fine in the snow and uses a fraction of the fuel.

Well mine so far as made this week far more pleasurable. Not many vehicles could have pulled this off as effortlessly.

Cruised up fully laden with an Argocat on a 16ft flatbed through mid Wales, Lakes and onto the Highlands after a detour to Hunterston.

Currently cruising back down the M6 with a few beasties in the back, a pile of granite kitchen counter tops, 110V transformer, huge retractable air reel added to the load.

Truly effortless motoring and will keep up with traffic with ease, overtaking most of it as well...

Very few vehicles could do what it's done this week and even fewer in as much comfort.

My parents had range rovers from 1975 to just before my mother died in 2011. All v8 petrol. It was traded in as it was to tall for her to get in with her dodgy cancer ridden hip. Loverly cars, but on going silly repairs and a bigger thirst than a Russian in a vodka factory happy hour.
The replacement Lexus and it's newer replacement was rock solid and reliable. I still have dad's one. I would get another Lexus any day.
