Recommend a blow torch

i use propane on mine and the torches never get taken off the bottles because i fill them using a shrader valve that is soldered in to the bottle. been ok for the last 15 years

well I hope the valves are rated to 400 psi as thats roughly the pressure of propane at 50C. can you supply the spec of the valves you use? somehow I dont think the car tyre valves will rated for that sort of pressure.

Also got a rothenberger quickfire. I loaned my last one and didn't get it back. Tried a cheaper option but it was crap and didn't ignite properly so ended up buying another rothenberger.

Exactly this. Tried the Rothenburger copy from Toolstation but not a patch on the real thing, always took half a dozen trigger presses to light. Useless.

I have three Rothenburger about the place plus one at home for the stove, the adjustable one is very handy.
