Then the only other solution for spring steel roll pins is the "spark eroder".
This could also affect the larger short outer roll pin.
As the small 2mm roll pin is inside the larger outer roll pin, any heat in the form of attempting to silver solder/solder, etc will grip this outer roll pin and pull them both out.
Maybe that's a great idea!
Then you could tap a thread into the housing and machine down a bolt with a long shank about the size of the 2 mm roll pin to screw into the housing as it should always have been.
The next interesting exercise you will have is trying to acquire a new roll pin...
If you find them, please let me know. I'd like a couple. They are very hard to come by...
