are you getting them re cut or will you just re grind your self ?
Another trick to keeping valves in place is to fill the cylinder with string. Keep the free end of course! Rotate the crank so that cylinder is at TDC and work away. Handy trick if you have no compressor and it doesn't leak away through burnt valves either.
i thought about that but as he never posted about smoke only rough running I didn't bother, could have been damage when the work was done.did you have the head pressure tested ?
