More time on the bumper, taken a bumper off the latest fatter JCW (2007 on) and have been merging it with the older shape bumper, I guess I will have to see how it goes as this is the first time I have done this.

For reference, I will take a grp mould off it and will not be using this bumper as I know you lot will ask...

Foam filled it even more and started to shape the top of it

Started to add the clay to the bumper, only rough at the moment as I just need to get the feel for it and once its even I will start to shape it ready for a mould

Still lots to do but I can see this quickly coming to shape and I have to say this excites me but I do have to have it ready for the paint shop very soon so I have to get moving on this...

What a weekend of sanding, reminded me how much I hate sanding... So the bumper is ready for me to take a mould odd and once that is done I will have to make some changes but it will be easier to do when the bumper is made as its becoming a little heavy now.

Back bumper is also made but no photos yet.

Will make the mould of the bumper next week then there is just a few things to do and it will go off to the body shop

I work for a paint company so I'm always using the facilities; they should call it sanding not spraying, it'd be a 5 minute job it was all just spraying!
Still, definitely worth the effort mate, looks very, very nice and you now know it's done right this time!

Been busy doing lots on the car and not really reporting on what I have been doing but today I had time to go and get the gearbox and alloy parts back from the blasters. The gearbox is now going to be stripped and rebuilt.

The items went to Andy at sutton soda blasters and I have to say, good price, and top quality work I am over the moon with the finish.

Got a call today from the painters to come and move some of my painted stuff out the way, don't want to show lots off as I want to wait till it all comes together but here are the orranje performance gp style rear delete kit.

The paint colour is glacier white and I think it looks lovely, clean and bright

^ yes I could sell them to scooter owners, I think your on to something there.

This is an interior panel that goes in the rear when the seats are removed. I and a few lads make things like that. Now I need to sadly chop it up a little to fit it round the cage

The car is going to start being painted on the 07/04/2012 and I have to say I am very excited!

Been very busy with little time for forums but...

Made a mould of the bumper

Original bumper came out the mould in many sections so its now destroyed

Trimmed the mould

Bumper replacement being made, looks like it is all going well but will only be able to tell when I pop it out in a day or so.

Also all my carbon parts are all going well, only recently realised how much I hate making carbon parts and how much I hate grp...

I'd love to make a copy of my bumper from a mould made from my bumper
...and although I've read up about release wax etc, just not had the balls to try it.
Tried covering plastic bump strips with real carbon once, the resin turned a shade of green!
(I think it can't have been UV stable)

I'd normally agree but at this time I still need to do some work to the bumper when it is done so maybe I will consider making a carbon bumper a little later in life but at the moment the grp item will do the trick I think.

Managed to break the bumper out of the mould, its come out OK but now I can make the modifications I wanted to do which I simply could not make to the other bumper. due to the amount of different parts where making it and I kept cutting and sanding through to the foam...
