descaler
wire brush in a drill/grinder
flapping disks on a drill/grinder
sandblasting
using a laser
chemical route, phosphoric acid.

Please advise on the laser option.

What is that?

It is basically a big electromagnet powered from the AC mains for testing rotors, or armatures, from motors and generators. If there are any shorted turns in the rotor it will ”growl” with the resulting magnetic interaction hence the name.

long time ago i was reading into it. search "rust" or somthing within it.
there's people/companys on there that build the cutters and the likes.

There are lots of threads on here of people doing rust removal and painting.

I wouldn't reinvent the wheel by trying laser removal on a chassis but if you want to give it a go, please post your results on here.
I'd be interested to see if it works outside of YouTube.

In my opinion sand blasting is the only way to properly remove rust.

Don't mention sand, but I agree with you.

Bristle blaster is a close second but a lot slower.

I normally use a mixture between a wedge chisel/flat chisel doing little taps and a long prysy/crow bar to scrape the thick off. Then onto powered tools.

I tried that on a navara some one asked me to weld anti snap plates too…….except I used my finger….luckyhe got his money from nissan as it wasn't worth fixing

Navaras were cracking just behind the cab due to corrosion from the inside, a guy was selling laser cutplate to strenthen them. Some were sent by nissan to spain for an external chassis upgrade others were bought back and scrapped.
