Got my Bionic today, I'm impressed for £25.
3M half mask fits under no problems and still covers the whole face, also impressed with minimal fogging to the bottom of the visor only, its got chilly here and nowhere near viewing area.
Impact and anti scratch no idea yet, but per Optima I will be adding a screen when blasting, have a load of spare sand blast cabinet screens that I can cut up to size.
Thats as sexy as I get

would be even better if I could wear my ear defenders, anyone know of a solution other than ear plugs?
Just tried my Peltor set and there's no way they will clear the sides being about 2 1/2" out from ear.
But there is room there... so possibly a slimline set like Port West or Jack Pike do that might work, as they only look about 1 1/2", be worth trying first tho if you have a friendly gun shop or tool shop

You can get ear defenders for wearing with a hard hat, the spring bit goes round the back of your neck instead of over your head.

The issue is not so much with the ear defender headband, which I reckon can fit inside, its more the width of the earpiece clearing the shield sides

Not quite, almost i guessI am surprised there isnt (or doesnt appear to be) an all in one grinding helmet available with ear defenders, dust mask, skull cap and tear offs.
