I have a belt driven 3hp Wolf air compressor (90l) with 10mm OD hose...
The OP says 10mm OD, are you guys talking about 10 mm bore?

Yes try it on a short length of hose then you will know if the wrench is man enough and can then replace either the long hose or the wrench. I have a feeling it will be a combination of both unimpressive wrench on a restrictive hose and regulator giving low torque.I'll check the pressure drop and try it direct and see what happens - thanks for the reply
He then says 3/8 in a later post
Wow, talk about getting upset. Its only a hose
OP has what he has, it will be cheaper and better in the long run to buy bigger bore hose, to run his cheap gun.
If as you are all saying 3/8" hose (as thats what he has not 10mm) then why it is not working?
A new hose with help with anything he wants to run, when he finds a new gun, that will too.
Back to my coffee
Well I just connected the gun to directly to the tank (@120PSI with no regulator in line) through 10m of 3/8 ID hose using 1/4 PCL XF connectors and it would not budge a single nut on my wheel. These nuts were recently off as I had changed the pads and discs so I know they are not seized.
looks like the gun surely?
Would a CP 734h do the job?

The problem is as soon as you pull the trigger ( his broom handle breaks ) no seriously, with the tank at 120 the air pressure drops to about or less than 90 you need the 150 to give it the kick up the rotor, the larger the hose the better obviously but 1/4 pcls are SOOOOO restrictiveOh, 120 psi is perfectly adequate to undo wheelnuts with a reasonable impact wrench. Yes you'll get more power with 150 psi but don't forget that the normal rating for air tools is 90 psi.
i know it is horses for courses, but do I 'need' a 1/2 or 3/4 ....I'm guessing my compressor isn't really up to running a 3/4?
I run one of these, light, comfortable and powerful. Looks like there are some special deals around at the moment with free stuff

I would never have thought a 3/8 hose would run a 1" gun I use at least 1/2 on my 3/4snap onI tried out a Bluepoint 1" impact before buying off a 120 psi compressor and a pretty long (15m ish?) 3/8 hose
Also put a couple of drops of thin oil (3-in-1 &c) in the wrench's inlet before you connect the hose.
