I would never have thought a 3/8 hose would run a 1" gun I use at least 1/2 on my 3/4snap on

I was surprised at how it managed, it certainly wasn't what I wanted but it was all I had available and I wanted to see if the gun would be worth having with my limited setup, I certainly wasn't disappointed! I'd go with a 1/2 line (think that's what the instructions say it should have) when installing a setup for big guns as I don't doubt it'll get more out of the gun but right now I'm stuck with 3/8 and yet to find a seized or tight nut it's struggled with.

Also the start point of 120 is pretty useless when the pressors diff is 2bar so the tank is at 90ish to begin with, you end up running off air to get down to the switch on point,because at the gun you would be lucky to achieve 60psi, so to then try to undo a tight nut again and with a big tank, that could be 3-5mins ish before pressure is achieved.

Yes the start point is too low really so yes you do sometimes run it off to make it kick in for when you want it, but there's no doubt that the guns have adequate power off that compressor until it's at its lowest. It's getting changed to a bigger compressor when possible but I'd not rush to say 120 won't work a gun because it can.
Pumping up tyres taking ages at the higher level of pressure - oh yes...

OP has what he has, it will be cheaper and better in the long run to buy bigger bore hose, to run his cheap gun.

If as you are all saying 3/8" hose (as thats what he has not 10mm) then why it is not working?

A new hose with help with anything he wants to run, when he finds a new gun, that will too.

well put irarely use small bore hose just on end of tools and spraygun. everything else is 15mm bore or 3/4

Ebauerer is sold by Screwfix, it might be worth looking at the reviews. It gets some good press, but one of the reviewers had to increase the air hose size to get the best out of it. A couple of others said useless.

If the OP goes and gets a decent impact wrench (can you borrow a good one to try if you don't believe me?) and doesn't alter his air hose then, bearing in mind he's on decent air line couplers, he'll need to be take care with the new wrench otherwise we could end up seeing a post titled 'how do I change the wheelstuds on xx car, I've just stripped them'

Pity, I assume you won't be near Scarborough...
To be honest I would expect better of Erbauer but sometimes that's how things are, even though they shouldn't be.

I've ordered the CP7748 so lets see what the difference is when it comes. I'll post the results here

One thing to be aware of I'm pretty sure my CP7748 had a 1/4 NPT inlet and not a 1/4 BSP, I've got a short whip hose on mine which I made with a 1/4NPT barb and a PCL male/barb at the other end. A lot of CP stuff and Snap On stuff is like this but the weird thing is if you talk to the Snap On man they have no idea and they happily sell 1/4 BSP fittings. You will also be pleased to hear that the owners manual air diagram shows 3/8 air hose

just use decent bore hose on all your stuff and direct from tank and there's no problem and if there is its your tools not the air supply

Plugged in the CP7748 and it whizzed the nuts right off - sorted ! such a difference

@mrfuzzy - The Ebaurer gun doesn't have the ability to turn the flow down and just the single reverse setting

Result! A pity you had to find out the hard way about cheap guns but at least now you're sorted. I'd be looking to send the Ebaurer back if it's not that old.
