Can anyone tell me what the name of the connection from torch to gas input is?
Don't leave it too long, Liz truss is on a roll.I'm gonna buy some more argon at some point: but not yet
I bought a Paton wire feed on ebay (it was very very cheap!)....that arrived from Poland and I was expecting a VAT bill but nothing came through so maybe you're right. What's the score with import charges for Welders coming to UK from EU

Thanks, it was more of a generic question. I've seen a few things advertised on both direct from a EU retailer, or on Ebay/Amazon from same retailer for similar prices so the retailer is either pocketing the VAT, or somehow passing it to HMRC in same way as they would be obliged to on lower value sales. You should expect to be charged VAT and an admin fee on top from the delivery company e.g. FedEx, DHL or whoever. Sometimes you will get away with it but expect to pay it or factor it in when looking at the overall price. You might get a nice surprise.
The European vendors won't sell you the original welder in this thread if you're in the UK as they have been "leaned on" for want of a better term.
It's a bit of a lottery sometimes with regard to charges. Ebay have it sorted. If you buy from China they will add the VAT to the price at source so you don't get hit by the admin charges from the like of FedEx or the post office when it arrives. The admin fee can be a big a percentage of the overall cost if your item is 40 quid say.
If you are waiting for the gas please try the mma mode and see it the fan comes on after welding a rod try a 2.5 at 100 amps.Sorry, but when i plug to the 220volt and swith on this 206p the fan wont came on, is that ok?
