Sherman Tig (Jasic in disguise?)

Mine I’d due to arrive on Monday minus a pedal as welders.de (permat) are out of stock of them. They did credit me £79 for the pedal so they seem a reliable firm to deal with, reassuring if you have any issues.

tecweld are the real masterminds http://tecweld.pl/ can still spend your zlotys there, may be just a tiny bit trickier and more obscure to get than having a nice EU English

Don’t suppose you know if these deliver to the uk as they seem to have the pedals listed.

decca - to be honest, if you want a pedal, I'd suggest buying a similar one (e.g. https://weldes.de/gb/control-pedals/353-tig-control-pedal-sherman-digitig-200gd315gd.html ) and modding the plug.

If you're ok soldering, there's not a lot to it.
There's a couple of posts from myself and Hood a bit back that likely have all the info you'll need.

Providing they've a switch and a pot in, my guess is that it will / can be made to work. I would very much guess that pedal is identical just with a different plug/lead combo on it. If it already has 5-core cable on it, BONUS

There's not a lot to them - these designs seem to be a switch and a potentiometer (pair), which appears pretty common. I would guess that's the same for any 5-pin (be it a 5 pin or 2+3) tig controller pedal. I'm willing to bet it's just different plugs and pin layouts.

No idea, never had any dealings with them, just managed to trace the sherman name back to them during my initial investigations.

This reminds me of the pink powertool debacle at Screwfix a few years back - started putting out "Site" branded tools - in a lovely shade of pink. Took the collective about 2 days to figure out they were made by and (almost) identical to the Makita units (the service line being answered by Makita was a bit of a give away!) but at 1/3 the price. Whole lot got pulled after a few months. It took me years to kill the cordless drill and the circular saw is still going.

I am sooo tempted by one of these TIG welders, but I just would not get the use out of it. I get https://weldes.de/gb/ comes up in English ?

I'm keen to have a go at tig welding, started a thread about it and got many kind offers of going to have a go on other people's machines, still plan to do this as don't want o spend money on a machine and find it's not for me, knowing my luck when I get round to it the cheap machines will be gone.

There’s a code to get 7% off and they are out of the pedals so they nocked £79 off the price to me after I ordered it so it came in at £385 delivered without a pedal If that tempts you even further.

Or do you? I just ordered a cordless angle grinder, dont do any site work and always within reach of a plug socket for my usual grinders. But i just took a fancy to it....

I ordered one too. Going to sell the stalhwerk. It's just massive and takes up a lot of space. Ordered and payed and forgot about the 7% coupon, sent them a message and they refunded me the 7%. Fair play. Ordered a different model foot pedal so I'll just change the plug when it arrives
