A nice thought by the Spanish retailer - Distrival - (like the face mask) but these destructions have probably been auto-translated from Polish to English. The result is useful if you know there is 2T or 4T available somewhere and you just want to confirm where... but not great if you don't already know the difference. Another example, the TIG DC Pulse and TIG DC labels are reversed. Some polish labels remain untranslated. I'm really happy so far (I haven't used it so I don't know if I have misled myself), but you probably shouldn't be buying this as your first welder unless you have done a good amount of reading.Came with instructions in English!
OK then chaps. Just sold a load of old tat on the bay of evil to fund a TIG.. To all you guys that know what you are talking about (because all I've done is read so far) I'm sold on this bit of kit and have enough dough to buy it and a better torch. I'm sure there will be a shed load of other stuff I'll need, but I shall have to get them after advice on here.
We sub contract to a large drinks manufacturer locally, they have an on-site welder that TIGs stainless pipe and is willing to teach me the basics. I can also get stainless off cuts and flanges for free to practice on.
I'm afraid I'm not going to be much use to you lot and all I'm going to be doing is taking for the time being!
I'm aware of the risks of Chinese gear, but everything is made there anyway. I repair laptops and the main difference between them all is build quality.
The Sherman looks like a quality generic machine ready for re branding.
The only thing I'm asking is the warranty on these. The eblag seller says 12/24 months. To me it sounds like a no brainer for just under 400 quid?
Your thoughts?!
So my Sherman 210P AC/DC Tig welder arrived yesterday, so I took the cover off and got some pics of the insides as requested! What are your thoughts?

The sherman 206P AC that this thread was all about is AC. It was available around £400 but they went out of stock. I just spent over £500.To me it sounds like a no brainer for just under 400 quid?

Nice find! I've never heard of this brand, anyone know anything about it? It seems they are somehow affiliated with another budget brand called Weldpro. I tried searching for more info on the company and a lot of people actually seem to have a decent opinion of weldpro and Linlong... So if this is a rebranded version of one of their machines, perhaps that isn't necessarily a bad thing...The Sherman 210 is from linglongwelding
