Ive got a few tools from the ministry. High quality gear, my favourite is a pair of wire pliers for curling electrical wire for terminals. I rarely use them but they’re a nice piece by Wilkinson of Sheffield.

That's just being held in by rust, you've removed everything that is supposed to hold it in. The only other possibility is that someone has battered the end of the shaft that sticks out the back of the slide causing it to swell and preventing it from coming out of the hole there, I find that unlikely though. Good luck

I bought mine at a clock fair it wasn't cheap, but I don't regret buying it.

The only other possibility is that someone has battered the end of the shaft that sticks out the back of the slide causing it to swell and preventing it from coming out of the hole there, I find that unlikely though.

It's written on the mounting clamp (eclipse 180)
It's just small vice made by eclipse that they stopped producing a few decades ago. There isn't really much available in the way of small precision vices like that so there are a lot of potential buyers.

The only two places it contacts the housing are at each end. Does the screw turn? Does the front jaw slide in the rear jaw housing? What exactly is stuck, now?
