Bigger shelves mate!!!!!!!!!!Here's some pics of the No4 Vono I got recently.
Rather pleased with this, I wasn't going to get another large-ish vice but it was a Vono so I had to have it .
Seems to be some of the original green paint still on it. I do like that curved slide.

Hello ranger
I take it you mean this one ?
I think (& it is only think), that it might be some sort or Parkinson's.
If anybody knows for definite, please let me know.

Brilliant info' Danny (as always), thanks for that much appreciated .Agree - I showed my 00 size of this swivel vice many pages back - yours is in better condition - well cared for over 120+? years.
I believe this to be the swivel variant of the first version of what became the 'improved' Parkinson's Handy. In some catalogues around 1890-1910 they show both the older (2 casting static) and 'improved' (one casting static) versions. But never seen this type of swivel in a catalogue.
Mine (£5 in the local flea market about 4 years ago) was the first I saw, then a really beat up size 0 online and now yours, in rather fine condition.
I stand to be corrected, as Parky only plastered their name over things when they brought out the patented 'Perfect Vises', but there is some further evidence in that there was a version of the pre-improved very similar, but with a modest anvil, and that has a reg des no. which I think is Parky's.
This swivel design is a rarity, for the smaller sizes only, I'd guess, but is a bit weak. Much later they had a conical swivel, also rare, that is tougher and doesn't twist when not wanted, as so many of all swivels do. Then there was a conventional swivel base and probably the best solution - the Parky Ball Vise.
Anyhow, friend of the bench vice 'hood, great find.
Any of us know their way round historic patents (applied for and granted) and reg designs?
--------, the garage has now got that wonderful mix of warm iron & 3in1 oil smell, fabulous, much better than Chanel No5
