He asked how much I wanted for repairing it and I’ve actually told him nothing.

I have, in my life, done a few of those jobs for people whom i have some sort of tie to.... When the question of the bill arises, it would just be way more than it would be worth to anyone, so you end up doing it for free*.

*note, this isnt to random strangers, but people who have somehow helped me in the past normally
