The default settings with prusaslicer are these...but I run the anet a8 at double speed without issue. It has less inertia with the bowden mod than with the original heavy extruder drive clamped to it.

As a side note to 3d printing...bought these couple of years back intending to build a new wifi based machine and never got round to it....might resurrect the interest. Built the frame to take them....and then.......couldn't be ....a...d

infills are impressive... I suppose only comparision is both running same what? The gcode dictates speed so what would be a test? Keep cranking up on the multiplier until it goes tits up?

Good work! Here's my attempt, it's modular so just print more sections as new tool holders are acquired and designed to hang on the splash panel....unfortunately each section takes approx 5hrs to print!

Designed and am printing this now, to hold the boxes of inserts. This'll hold 20 boxes.
If print's ok I'll post stl. The 5 box version was OK.

Just noticed this thread here's my very basic racks for QCT holders. It's just a bit of channel I had, poked some nails thro welded from the back not given way in over two years. Trouble is I always seem to need more holders finished another today.

Rotherham Metal Procurement local to me, anysize you want no cutting charge these holders were made out of s275 nothing special. 5 pieces cut nearly to size.

The downside....somewhere at >40% the filament jammed or stopped. The extruder was moving ghostlike in mid air.
The downside of 3d printing is that it's not fast. I remember now why I lost interest....Ran the printer at 250% speed still too slow.
So a 40% box.....Keep intending to fit a feed detector..and fence the fields, and repair the baler tractor..car etc etc....
I included the stl file for anyone else. The designs ok.
BTW.Found cause of failure. Bad PLA had a bulge which jammed extruder in the first part of new fresh roll >1.75mm!

Set it off again with fresh slicer settings. Might get it done in 6hrs now.....or a big mess....one or the other. Need to resolve the ooze issue with retraction adjustments. Software update overwrote my previous settings.

I will print it. But not sure how soon. Will post back when i do though.

Finished PLA+ printing late last night. All good, although too much ooze for my liking to clean up. Wire brush later. Perfect sliding fit for boxes. I've got 16 boxes to store. If more than 20 required two of these could be bonded together. Did consider dovetails to make them interlocking, but in which direction? All four ways? And full dovetails? Part dovetails etc..
Now I need to sort out a labelling strategy for the box ends. Don't have a labeller ....yet.
