Did that come with a heater?
I’ve not seen that one. My Chinese heater has the generic one that everyone has
Or else I’ve got the eber one in the pickup.

Have had an Eberspacher on the boat, a Autoterm/Planar in the camper van, and now a Chinese (Vevor) in the shed, all 2kW:
I think the Planar is slightly quieter than the Eberspacher was, but this could be down to installation details.
The Chinese one is much, much louder than either of the others - the exhaust isn't a problem, it's the fan noise that comes from the hot air side - it sounds like someone hoovering in the next room. Doesn't matter so much in the shed, but having experienced it now, I wouldn't put a Chinese one in a camper (personal opinion).
Outside, the Chinese exhaust noise is about the same as next doors condensing boiler (i.e. noticeable). Planar is quieter with a similar setup in terms of exhaust length and a single silencer (didn't really notice the Eber on the boat, as it went through the side of the hull).
They all work.

I find my heater (Maxpeedingrods kit) to be quite loud. You can hold a conversation near it but you have to speak a bit louder. I wouldn't want one in a camper van. It would be like sleeping next to a hairdryer all night when it's on full power. Good heat output but I need to insulate my workshop to really get the best from it.

I spoke to a lad next door that has the webasto in his camper and he said you can sleep with it on at night as it’s so quiet

webasto's are expensive and so is the wiring loom for them
many buy the chinese type there good enough and have easily replacable parts for them
if you want less drone from them fasten to a solid surface anything that can echo will echo with them
if it says 5kw or 8kw its a lie they dont exist as there under 5kw output with a heat exchanger on them you can add water to them and also use radiators as well as they output at 100c+

I tend to put the heater in the cave on at full blast initially, then turn down the temp setting once I'm comfortable - that seems to slow down the fan to a more acceptable level.

Iv worked on horseboxes with webastos years back they just worked every single time with no issues. I will still think about the cheapy ones just prefer one that I can buy once and keep for when I build my camper conversion as the racing season gets cold towards the end of the year
Buy 2 - always have a backup - but mine have been faultless.

The exhaust sounds like a jet engine running - in the day you don't notice it outside as traffic noise is louder. Noticeable at night but as long as the exhaust is outside it will be fine. Pump can give an annoying thump thump through solid surfaces so mount it on something to absorb the vibes!
I have ducted ours into the room so the loudest noise is the air intake - not very at all in other words.
I meant reliability wise not noise - they all sound the same!

I’ve seen some solutions to the noisy pump, a sound proof blanket tie wrapped around it quietens it a lot.
I’ve been thinking about getting one of these, I’ve got an indirect space heater which is great, this morning it was minus 1 degrees in the workshop within 30 minutes of firing it up it was 11 degrees but it uses 2.5 litres of kerosine or diesel per hour and within 1 hour of switching it off the temp as back down to 7 degrees so my thoughts are to use the big heater to provide the initial heat and then one of these Chinese heaters to possibly be able to maintain the heat. Apparently they use half a litre per hour at max output

I have an eber D2 in my pickup.
I bought it new in 05. It’s been in every truck since. I service it regularly and it works.
Was a grand back then but annually that’s not much and it’ll still be going strong in a few years I hope.
All of the HGVs, Buses, Boats that’s I have anything to do with run eber or webasto. No one fits Chinese.
It’s horses for courses but if I’d paid £150k for a new lorry and it came with a shtty Chinese night heater I would have the proper hump.
Planar aren't cheap chinese though.That is expensive, for a cheap chinese diesel air heater. It would have to be a HUGE special offer to get down to 80 quid delivered from the likes of vevor (but it would be a better product than the cheapy).
Neither of mine met the specifications and there may be issues with the build quality - but I knew that before purchasing.
They were Russian, but I see production has now been moved to Latvia, along with a name change
The suspicion is the cheap chines are actually a copy of the Planar, as various features are more akin to Planar heaters, than Eberspacher heaters.
