Can’t set time or access settings … manual might as well still be in Chinese…
Long press up (left) enters a setting with xx:xx… time I guess? Adjust to time ok … then how to save? Wait does nothing, up/down adjusts … ok switches digit, hold exits without saving …

Don’t know how to access any other settings …

That symbol is blue on mine. I thought it meant the electrical system (voltage) was functioning correctly.

Might be, but there is a wealth of knowledge out there. Some very clever anorakky types out there that will spend hours figuring out what you and I couldn’t be bothered to do

as we have no idea what unit your using or any other details other than a photo as its near on impossible to search for something with no discription

It’s very similar to mine ,except I access all the features via a remote control’,including switching it on and off. The red icon at the bottom shows the combustion chamber condition. It changes slightly when it’s running,basically showing if it’s lit and how much heat it’s generating

Did that come with a heater?

I’ve not seen that one. My Chinese heater has the generic one that everyone has

Does the thermostat actually do anything on these ? Any internal trims? That’s useless to me, minimum 10deg and still running full on at 17 ?

Mine is about the same - about 7 degrees out. The heater will slow down eventually, but if the low setting maintains the temperature you can do no more. Try setting it at 5 Celsius - you may find it responds (and reduces the pumping rate) at only 12 C

You may also find that the minimum pump pulse rate is more than specification.

Welcome to the world of cheap chinese products. Welcome to over-hyped (and lying) chinese marketing scams. Join the ranks of reality where much of the chinese-buying public who find that all is often not well with their purchases (there are huge numbers who buy but still think they have something different than what they actually purchased - just look at the number who still believe their heater is an 8kW device). IMO, Vevor is much like bang good in this respect.

Your controller should allow the pump and fan speeds to be adjusted - if you have suitable measuring instruments or use the typical settings provided around the chinese air heater user groups.

Not that noisy , you have silencer on exhaust?
For the price they work well and all of the ones I know of have lasted at least 2 years others 5

Have had an Eberspacher on the boat, a Autoterm/Planar in the camper van, and now a Chinese (Vevor) in the shed, all 2kW:

I think the Planar is slightly quieter than the Eberspacher was, but this could be down to installation details.

The Chinese one is much, much louder than either of the others - the exhaust isn't a problem, it's the fan noise that comes from the hot air side - it sounds like someone hoovering in the next room. Doesn't matter so much in the shed, but having experienced it now, I wouldn't put a Chinese one in a camper (personal opinion).

Outside, the Chinese exhaust noise is about the same as next doors condensing boiler (i.e. noticeable). Planar is quieter with a similar setup in terms of exhaust length and a single silencer (didn't really notice the Eber on the boat, as it went through the side of the hull).

They all work.

Not intrusive when the area is warmed and the fuel usage is reduced. If the pump is inside, that can be annoying.

These opinions are all subjective, of course. I fitted the pump outside my workshop and the hot air exits via a short delivery pipe. With longer (properly sized) hot air ducting, my heater could have been fitted at the rnd of my workshop, but it is about central. Between being cold and experiencing an air fan, I know which I am going to put up with!
