The FLG has a better spray pattern, whilst cheaper guns will get you where you need to be. Devilbiss have a lot of experience atomising the paint and they do it well. Cheaper guns struggle to get the paint to a nice spray.
A lot of this is the user, a bad painter will be bad either way with any gun. I personally find that the pattern is better from my devilbiss guns and I have been very impressed with the flg5 as a budget gun
Worst case you will put the paint on too thick or will have more orange peel effect so you will need to colour sand but if your handy you will be able to solve most paint issues. What I am saying is spending a little more on a better gun will help on your technique
Get on youtube and look up gunman - he tries a lot of guns and gives a lot of experience
