Hi just have a normal refill cartridge mask but i don't really paint that much maybe once or twice a year.

Just one exposure is enough. To an extent, your health is your own business, but it looks like you are doing it in a public place? Isocyanates in airborne mist are extremely dangerous and a positive pressure mask is vital for you to wear. Inflicting it on the general public or even your family will lead to big trouble. If you don't want to run to doing it safely, then change to non isocyanate products.

I'm using 2k primer not 1k. Yes i mixed as the sheet said 5/1 + 10% thinners for filling and also it said 5/1+ 20% for priming. I used 10% thinners and it did seemed thick.
I've wet sanded from 600 800 and 1000 grit it feels very smooth but can see few pin holes will this need priming again or will the paint cover it? Also is it ok to apply 2k acrylic primer over bare metal as when i was sanding my scratches there was some small area where the metal was exposed?

5/1 primer will be high build so will have quite a lot of texture and will need a good block back

Looks like solvent pop to me.

You have to flat back to a smooth surface before doing anything else. Then you need to reprime if you have broken through, I would prime the whole panel to give you a consistent colour even if you don't break through.

Absolutely. You need a consistent ground colour for the basecoat to lie on. Otherwise, especially with some light metallics, you will see the shade difference across the panel. In your case it is probably easier to do the whole panel.

I was going to prime half of the bonnet and paint and lacquer all of it but like you said might be worth priming all of it.

How much are you guys paying for basecoat? I think i need 500ml to paint bonnet and front bumper? Im located near derby?

It can depend on the brand. The colour of my car was only available in Deltron from my local supplier so it was over £50/L. It went on well

So i had another go at spraying primer this time i thinned down 20% and also this time i used a filter before pouring into the spray gun. It come out more smoother out of the gun but i seem to have lot of orange peel / textured.
Ive posted some photos is this normal or should it be much smoother?

Also how long would you leave it before sanding it flat and what grit paper? Should i spay guide coat the sanding it 400 then 600 sound about right? Or 320,400 and 600? I put on around 4 coats of 2k acrylic primer.

It is quite heavily textured that is.
Fortunately you can flat any paint with enough elbow grease
I'd leave it a couple of days assuming you don't have any drying equipment like an infra red lamp,guide coat it and then block it with 400 wet n dry,once it's smooth finish off with 600s

Could be any number of reasons,air pressure,your technique,the temperature,hard to say. I've not heard of that brand,some brands do lay flatter than others.
Yes flat wet with some washing up liquid in your water......if you want to do it dry use 500 grit discs on a DA sander but I prefer to do it wet

Thanks i will leave it 2 days to dry and wet sand it and see if i get the pins hole come back.

Sometimes if you don't flat the orange peel completely out you can be left with what looks like pinholes but just needs more flatting.That can occur with clear coat too if the orange peel is heavy

That primer is a very high build "Thanks to its high spraying viscosity it may be applied in very thick layers, perfectly filling even large scratches and surface irregularities." so will always be very textured generly we use 3to1 only use 5to1 when we need to build up a lot and then normally prime again with a normal primmer

re-face is more a spary filler quite a bit thicker again
