Spraying bare metal

Hi Phaseonix, yeah go for the max meyer, the one to use is the MAXCLEAR HS NEW - the code for it is 1.360.0200, i used the 6000 hardener with 4320 thinners (which is a slow one, good for resprays.

how about this one:

max meyer clearcoat

any recommendations for make of paint?(don't want to spend more than £30 a litre though-need 4 litres) I've been told it makes a big difference...

Well it doesn't say much about what that lacquer is, I know it's max meyer apparently, but no codes

You won't go wrong with max meyer stuff (but i'd be a little bit cautious about the ebay stuff - you don't know what it is!!)

agree take care of what you get.
paints/lacs. dont like freezing conditions,never the same after it.

I'm going to use cheap paint for this one as it's only a recovery truck. Will get good stuff for the 67 merc 250 se I'm spraying next year.

in that case b/clear is wasted,just use a enamal on it.
low maintainance,washing only, no need to polish it.

is it ok to use 2k primers under it?
is enamel like commercial synthetic paint?

can you get metallic colours in enamel?
