thats how i draw out my cones, however there are apps now that can do it for you. the one i use gets it perfect everytime.There are various ways of developing cones, either by drawing or some simple maths, but for anyone who cant add up or draw I have made a simple calculator for right cones in a spreadsheet to calculate the angle of the frustum shown as "O" here, all you do is find the point of intersection to get the true length then enter the values in the yellow fields and it will update with the angle, useful for cones that are bigger than your paper or printer
