every machine fails ,,, thats just the nature of machines ,, I can live with that . I rate a company on how it handles repairs , two boards in twelve years on a machine that does more tacks than an upholsterers hammer is ok by me maybe I adjusted my expectations to the price , If my EWM does as well Ill be happy , then again I use someone elses Sealey , I own my own EWMs.

I have one of those and confirm the welding in equally bad. I bought an engine hoist a few years ago. It was great value for money and I got to finish off the welding!I reckon they also make the benchtop press I sent back

we all have soft spots for different things ,, I buy old mole grips for welding rather than vise grips , because the release levers work the other way about so easy do undo without taking welding gloves off ,, Id rather an old starrett square than a new draper ,,, old flat Gilbow chisels please me .. some of the older stugg second hand is still a far better buy than brand new stuff ,,, then again Ive just ordered a new 21mm hex deep chrome socket at 38 quid , just to fill a gap .

All failed. As said the flaring tool was so far out of concentric it necked the inside of the brake pipe - one I made actually failed at the union.
The most dissapointing failure is the underbonnet long led light, I actually thought this was a good piece of kit, until it too failed.
Add to these a pricey battery charger, 3 tonne jack, 12v led light. I dunno, have I got to search out the failed Sealey stuff to satisfy you?

The differences between the Chinese products bought directly via the internet and from the likes of MM,Sealey or Rally design are the level of quality control and accountability.You may pay a few quid more but your agent,guarantee, after sales back up and spares are here and not 5000 miles away.That's worth something.

About Sealey, their customer service is fantastic, I bought a brake pressure bleeder, it leaked air, contacted them and they sent a replacement which arrived within days, it leaked also, then I noticed the little plastic tool to tighten the fill coupling
So I now have two new working pressure bleeders.

I've watched dozens do it in the Philippines. The guys who build the angle bar frame for our tin roof did it, plus used the same settings on the welder for cutting the angle bar as welding it. They didn't really weld, just did a series of blobs/tacks, but it came out solid enough. All with sunglasses and rag wrapped round their heads, for safety....
