If I get planning permission for the extension at my wife's place then I'll put one of them in the garage coupled to a thermal store to help heat the place. If we don't get planning permission then I'll think of a plan b
That's pretty poor! I'll second the other comment about it stinking the house out when it gets for the first two or three uses

Yeah, bit naff isn’t it...
I ordered some liberon iron paste as a second attempt product, if that doesn’t work then it’s onto paint... the iron paste was only £8 delivered with prime so can’t complain.
can't wait to get this finished, back together and test fired...

I prefer making my own paste from graphite powder mixed with linseed oil. Gives a lovely lustrous grey, and rust protection for a year or so.

Incidentally, that paste works beautifully on wrought ironwork too.

I got bored of rubbing liberon paste on with a toothbrush...
Also, the outside of the main boiler casting still had factory paint in areas that was proving tough to wire brush off so I just keyed it up And painted it.
