I would have cried a lot .I’m a tough girl, me.
I was looking at new fuel pumps for my trials car as it seemed to run very fast and noisily, while not pumping any fuel at the weekend when I attempted to start it for the first time in 18mths.Thought my led flood light had broken today until i realised i had plugged a corded drill in instead
so.....memory broken...I was looking at new fuel pumps for my trials car as it seemed to run very fast and noisily, while not pumping any fuel at the weekend when I attempted to start it for the first time in 18mths.
Realised a day later I'd turned on the on-board air compressor for the tyres rather than the fuel pump
It actually ran perfectly . . . once I'd remembered which switch it was . . .
More the "permanent" marker scribble on the dash had worn off . . .so.....memory broken...
I would try , it's nothing specialThe log splitter.

Can't complain much, it took fifteen years of being whacked with a sledge hammer before it gave up.
Don't think I'll bother trying to weld it
Maybe. I'll give it a go when I get a minute. Can you not just grind it to a new point? FWIW most of the wood splitting wedges I used when I was kid had been brazed by the look of it, a band of lighter shiny metal against the darker steel.
I had one of them - and couldn't get on with it - how do you get it started? The log splitter.

Mine died for no reason -stripped it - the thermal fuse had popped. To get at it practically scrapped the fan. Bin jobNew thread
today its the turn of the bathroom extractor fan to pack in. Which being an inline fan in the attic means crawling in fibreglass to get at. Hopefully its just fluffed up .
I just hold it upright, give it a few taps with the sledge held just behind the head, a few harder wallops to seat it firmly, then take a full swing at it.I had one of them - and couldn't get on with it - how do you get it started?
I went back to simply smacking them with a splitting maul
In my house that should read stuff my kids broke today.New thread
