Some get Picus (tomography) tested, the one above wasn't. It had to come out before it fell through the power lines.

Handy for what we do Mat, its on a turntable like a digger so you can keep going around in complete circles without coming against limit stops, makes it easy to use over the front of the truck.

Not realy a fix, but a tidy up and try out a method to replace old markings on wood tools.
This "Old School Foot Measure" came my way for pennies.
It look good, untill I cleaned it up. The markinsg had been "Re-done" with a graphite pencil. Badly.
This also showed up when cleaned. The cheap glue went away.
A bit of google time, coffee time and shortbread. We had a method to repair.
Drill out, with acre, the old matchstick size pins. Wooden poins were used post WW2.
I made up some brass pins, checked the back plate was in the correct place. You fit them when they are hot. Remove them and refit them with sulpher.
Bee's wax and a bit of food dye is used to make teh marks show up. You rub it is, a harder wax is best. Then you buff it hard with a clear soft wax.

Carb rerfurb on a GSXR-750, following someone else's bodge job (story of my life!), runs like a dream now.
Major service on a CBR650, tank/ panels/ airbox and throttle bodies off, ludicrous really but needs doing every 16000 miles.
Clearances were out so camshafts had to come out to reshim (4 valves had tight clearances).
