Index finger hooked over the centre, finger and thumb click and the lines drop out of her face, about three seconds start to finish. I was quite good at them at one time. The other type can be done more surreptitiously though.

Broke the badly repaired z-axis handle on my mill a couple of weeks ago. Made a replacement handle from workshop scrap. The steel flat was bent cold on my fly press. The handle may become a permanent "temporary" replacement.

I've also got the y-axis tapered gib strip out as it has reached its limit for adjustment. I could make a replacement (not a job I want at present) so more likely will make a small part to allow me to push it in further.

When I had the Launderettes it was always the wire from underwired bras that caused issues. These machines have a 'dump valve' where the water flows out very rapidly for the next fill cycle by gravity - no pump. Wire jammed in valve meant it never filled to level and cost a fortune in water and heating !

Yep, found a curved bit of wire and asked the HK, who had a generous bust, if she had lost a bit out of a bra. Came back, very red in the face, Yes.

I was given a small desk lamp yesterday. However, the mains adaptor was missing an earth pin.

I happened to have a defunct adaptor laying on the bench.

Pin removed and, with some judicial hacksawing and filing, reduced to be a snug fit in the slot.

Out with the automatic centre punch, to give it some more bite.

Then pressed in with some UHU plastic cement.

Nice Laser spark plug socket, copy of an expensive Hazet one. The collar where the ball joint pin passes through is so thick it doesn't fit down many spark plug wells, which is a bit useless. (The Hazet is much slimmer.)



Punched the pin out, stuck it in the lathe, welded the pin in and back in the lathe. Ready to go in the mobile box now.

Pub washing machine back working. Went back and took the lid off. Immediately obvious issue. There's a little socket that slides onto a PCB on the back of the selector switch. Must have dislodged it when I stripped it and took the front panel off yesterday.
