The guy that owns the bike owns a car wash that is in an underground carpark
He also runs a car service place down there too it's all secure,Does that toolbox have to be put away every day, or is the whole place thief-proof?
For mounting and adjusting rifle bolts - doing something accurately to the end of?Started this some years back and discovered a) it isn't quite finished and b) I need it for next week (yesterday would have been better), can you tell what it is yet?

Couple of clues:

I helicoiled it because the bolts will be constantly adjusted:

I have bought some long Stainless steel screws as I will be boring the ends out and adding some brass buttons on the ends. I went to see my favourite grinding company yesterday but they don't have a fixture to hold the Bolt as you cannot remove the handle, so I will be doing it myself using my own lash up.

NiceThreaded some stainless M20 x 1.5 each end and welded on a couple of washers to make extensions slides for the wee brake, pic shows new with one of the originals.

Once fitted I cut some 10mm steel to make up a table that sits over the brake.

That allows me to slide the tooling to any of the vee's

I don't know what that half tracked vehicle is but I do know I want to have a play in it

Mine got a bit of old car radiator hose taped around the umbrella pole in a similar situation . . not wasting engineering materials on that!Proved to my wife that a lathe is an essential tool after the plastic centre broke in our glass topped patio table:

Is the welder's table made from an old milling table?Made a lid for an old stainless steel tank, out of recycled stainless steel trays and some box section. Added and removed some nozzles as well. Gonna make a great water storage tank.

Yes i believe so... Maybe a planer or grinder. Is the welder's table made from an old milling table?
Well, bit of a long story this one, it is a bolt head from a Mauser M3, lovely guns and beautifully engineered.
This is how it should look, this is the view down my microscope and the grub screw is 3mm dia. it holds the ejector in place:

Customer had complained that it wouldn't eject properly so this is the view of the one presented "with a problem":

WTF!
This is the same bolt head with a pointer atr the edge of the hole:

It is always the same tired old Sh1t "Oh I have absolutely no idea what could be wrong I hear this every single time, I have taken to telling them: "look, I am not going to hit you, just tell me what you have done, it will save me time and you money". They still deny it.
Someone on here has (privately) asked me why I get involved, but I do like a challenge :-)
Some short while later:

I carefully picked, hammered, battered and coaxed the ruined grub screw out and I was able to get a good quality tap to clean up the threads and insert a new grub screw:

NOW I can replace the ejector and make it work properly. How do you charge for a job like this? You cannot really but I get a great deal of satisfaction from having succeeded, I don't always succeed and that is the nature of it.
There's nothing like a bit of a challenge at times , often it's the only thing you get a bit of satisfaction from .
" I won't be beaten " sort of thing .
