Started some intergrip copies.
Clamped a bit of flat to some 25mm box and ran a 1mm slitting disc along it.
Marked out 1" lengths and a centre line.
Centre popped.
Drilled with a 1/4" bit:
Cut to size:
Got 11 like this:
Got bored, more later...

I didn't make much today...but I did "make" my boring head and attachments fit inside a shiny new box with foam.
The old box was absolutely toast, and unfortunately wasn't worth trying to save.
Wish I'd got the next size up of box, but they are expensive!

Whizzes a few handles up for the fobco, imperial into the boss but only had metric ball ends, with no metric change gears for the lathe. Welded on some M10 shaft and cleaned up on the lathe.
Much better than before, certainly still function over form.

An emergency C-spanner to fit a steam filter at work.
They didn’t have anything to fit it to stop it leaking.
Neither did we.
But we did have some plate, a new waterjet to play with and the ability to measure and draw something up.
3hours later they had a solution

Made some trestles from 2" x1/4" wall SHS aluminium and some 5" x 2.5" x 3/8" x 1/4" channel.
They are for putting under a Cheetah Cat when it comes up the slipway on the hoist, it will then be lowered onto the trestles so that the hoist can move out of the way.
Wood will be put in the channel but that is not my job, I don't bother wood

Cut off the rusted bars and welded some new 20mm bar on to chain links for end weights. Last time I used the mig at the place I did them, I just used the stick this time as I don't have Argon mix and actually don't even have a mig torch as I just use push pull guns. I also have a few boxes of 4mm electrodes so good to use some up as I hardly ever do steel stick nowadays.
