Very nice They do very well with the odd bit of boost I built a kit some years back, but to be honest I couldn't be bothered with the power crazy assessors at the SVA/IVA stations, I made it a track only car. Probably a sensible idea given my driving skillsI'm just gathering parts for over winter, I've been fancying something similar to this for a while
View attachment 358109So the plan is to get it built, IVA it then I've heard the little 1.8 responds well to a bit of boost
That's the beauty of this design, it's impossible for the spring to fly off. I copied the design used by Maxton and Ohlins, just mines not as nicely made. The final part I need to make is a clevis that will sit captive on the jack and allow the shock to be bolted to it.I wouldn't stand in front of that even if you paid me lol would end up with a spring flying across the room.
Is that a dax kit?Very nice They do very well with the odd bit of boost I built a kit some years back, but to be honest I couldn't be bothered with the power crazy assessors at the SVA/IVA stations, I made it a track only car. Probably a sensible idea given my driving skills

Yes it is, from way back It has been modified from the original though as I removed some of the Dax roll bar set up and added the full cage.Is that a dax kit?
Nice, I'm thinking of building my own chassis at the moment unless something decent comes about at the right money.Yes it is, from way back It has been modified from the original though as I removed some of the Dax roll bar set up and added the full cage.
I'm sure that would be pretty easy for you, and if I was to start over, I'd definitely build my own. You could also join the locost and bike engined car forums on F/book as chassis come up from time to time, although not sure how good they would be!Nice, I'm thinking of building my own chassis at the moment unless something decent comes about at the right money.
Got some photos of the framework I'd done love to get pictures of what you've actually made View attachment 358296View attachment 358297View attachment 358298View attachment 358299

Even my tired devlieg is very close to grade a for straightness and aa to 90°
My devlieg is straight within 2 micron in 2.5 mHmmm. 4 microns at 200 mm and below, what grade is this?
And if you put the corners, back to back (on the paint), changing sides, what quality will the contact spots be?
Are there any plans to produce the camelback? And if possible, a price guide for different sizes.
devlieg - I don't know what it is, but probably with such processing precision, all the scraping mans has retired. My devlieg is straight within 2 micron in 2.5 m
