Today I made the Transtig all QR rectus on the gas. So of fleaday I acquired a rectus 21 panel fitting for 6-8mm pipe

well we know what they say , presumption is the the mother of all F***ups. Now all the welders I've messed with have had the solenoid on the gas inlet , well I took the side panel of and guess what ? ( btw is was very clean inside )

yep the solenoid is on the outlet at the front
that was friday night so a bit of head scratching . now luckily for me front and rear gas fittings on this machine are 1/4" male bsp so of to the plumbers merchant this morning for these

1/4" bsp female -female barrels/nipples or what ever you call them then turned to these

I'm gathering quite a selection of fittings now

now all I've got to do is fit the NOS boc shield saver , I'm hoping with all the stop start learning tig I'm going to save a bit of gas

It is preset at 7 lpm but is adjustable when the tamperproof cap is removed off the bottom .
