We took our insures up on that for our wet room and demanded equal like for like replacements & reinstatement which more than quadrupled what they initially offered as they also had to include the old floor screed & remaining tile removal as the old floor was covered in thick waterproof tiling adhesive & leveling compound as well as some of the remaining salt glazed floor tiles which wouldn't let the floor dry out.

I took advantage of that to put in an underfloor trace heat matting system before the new slightly cheaper slip resist Pilkington tiles were laid.

Other way around. Dirt cheap kitchen and tiles previously.

Pls can someone educate on knurlers? I thought clamp type best for lighter lathes. I've never seen one like johnnybravo's. What's a cut knurler?

It cuts and removes material rather than displacing and forming the knurl. It cant be used to increase a shaft size for example.

I made a couple of chip shield or swarf guards today. A couple of cheap dti stands from Amazon less than £15 each, and two a4 size sheets of 4mm lexan polycarbonate £14 the pair from eBay. A little bit of drilling and some lathe work.

I can position these on the mill or lathe and should speed up clean up.

The cut knurler has a sharp edge, and a straight wheel like that produces a diagonal knurl, you get diagonal ones for cutting straight knurls.

Console for the filter, in haste. There has been no response from the filter manufacturer for a week now. Judging by the prices for the second version of the bracket, this is made of gold painted black. Cut partial threads M6 in smooth holes and changed the method of fastening

Seeing as it is plasma cut ?? (CNC??) I feel that to put a hole for the actual coat holder peg/hook in the back plate , counter sink it at the back , then tack weld it in from the rear & grind off any raised weld as well as having four small radiused corners might give you a better-looking hook from the front as you have a lot of astheticlly pleasing curves with brutal right angles & straight edges ,

I like the hooks in any case .
