Yeah, the body I removed was all made from thin pressings, the new one is 50x150 rhs around the outside with 50x100 unequal angle bearers and a 3mmfloor..... somewhat heavier than the original

Still didn't paint them much though!
I think they ceased trading about 1999. FIL has a 6 ton Fraser grain trailer from the early 90's and BIL had an 8 ton silage trailer from about the time they shut down. Better designed than most but went rusty very rapidly.
Last I heard the Fraser brand was being sold on by Botex/European Forestry Machinery/Jas. P. Wilson (same company/group) of Dalbeattie:

Nothing much, just 4 Hickory handles. I was visiting a friend who has a copy Lathe. Well, a lathe with a copy attachment on it.
Yes, I had fun, Yes I will visit them again.
No I will not do this again.
Why? The cost of the blanks was more than I could buy ready made handles from a local, but expensive hardware shop.
Plus my friend does not have good coffee.

Made this "spare wheel protector" the other day.
It's pretty much the same as ones you can buy. It's supposed to stop the cable that holds the wheel in place being cut and the wheel nicked.
I hadn't bothered before as it only had a space saver rough old wheel on.
Didn't take long and i made it out of some old aluminium plate that came off a milk float.
The welding is a bit rough....A few touchdowns
