I know power tools and beer don’t mix but I usually do DIY under the influence of one or two beers.

Gives me something to blame wobbly cuts, bent nails and paint runs on at least.

and also looks better when you stand back and admire your work at the end hence why i now walk round my house in the dark most of the time unless i got the beer goggles on

The arms, the chains and the pans were found at a car boot for £0:20p.

Sunday I was at a friends place, he has a lathe. I had some scrap brass and time. He needed a favour.

A few minutes work and I had a pillar to hold. I copied the pillar from a image I found on line in a "Dolls House" furniture catalogue.

A pallet changer on a machine tool is basically a machine that will swap pre-setup jobs with the ones that have just been finished. So on a milling machine you will set up your parts to be machined in jigs/fixtures and then load them into the machine. Whilst the machine is running you will set up another and then when the machine has finished doing its thing the finished job will be removed and the newly setup one will be put in place and so the cycle continues.
Makes things much quicker as setup and removal is done whilst the machine is working on other parts and once these parts are done the next are ready to be loaded right away.

Yes, small make. But it cost me nowt but time.

The metal was "Recycled" from a old Emergency Battery PSU.
The shapes is what Helen wanted.
I just got to do one of 2 more bits of de burring.

Thus Helen has 2 "paint guards" to protect edges when she is cutting in etc.

I think so, as well as other odd edges.

The long straight edges are for the floor end of skirting boards.

The shapes are almost a direct copy of her plastic ones.

Yesterday, I built an engine hoist frame(?), only had 60 x 40, so its a bit heavy, but does the job.
