I start to make bundle of dynamite sticks.

And again WOW. Now that is impressive. It takes much skill and blind determ no just blind to produce something like that. It is fixable and at not much more than what it took to get it to that stage in the first place. Probably had a coat of paint which made it look good. Unfortunately used the wrong paint
I was covered in grease, when you see non moving parts covered in excessive amounts of grease you think... hummmm..... not only that, but new grease, now it would not be so bad to miss such a massive "mistake" as a buyer but the rest of the machines moving parts have not seen any lubrication for a very long time, the brown streaks of rust that have been washed out of the pivots are a good indication of that. Hahaha Still, not all bad, engine sounds sweet.

No it had not been drilled to take a bracket so I doubt it has ever had one.
Apparently Drummond did list a bracket to take a Myford DTI just after the war but no one seems to have seen one in Myford / Drummond factory pictures so they may be like hen's teeth if they ever existed. The Drummond Yahoo site has a pdf of a Model Engineer article detailing a scratch built DTI which includes referance to and a picture of a hand made bracket as per the one I made. The ones that crop up on Eblag are almost certainly home made.
I am pleased you like the bracket, I was trying to get it to look the part. Seeing close up pictures of the tail stock makes the rest of the lathe look in need of a re paint but there are a few other modifications and repairs I want to do before I spend any time on cosmetics.

Quiet day today so made something for the garden, I've made plenty of wooden ones over the years that don't last long, this one will probably outlast me, made from aluminium box section ,and the platform and roof from offcuts of aluminium treadplate

2 new tyres for my "Run around"
Do I have the way to all to make tyres?
No.
But, I have ways to make things what will allow me to buy tyres, beer and a curry for the family tonight.
Tyres will be done this weekend.
How?
Mrs TYA has a friend, eccentric friend. She has money, if she was poor she would be just mad.
In the past I have posted about her and her thing about Feng Shai.
So, tonight she came round, she needed more stuff for a friend she has, due to
"Her being pushed by cosmic forces into....." I switched off.
So I set up Number of the beast, lit the fire and supped ale. I need the cans to make the art.
Then start the art of making Feng shai.
Getting a good run of allay 2 drops forming and a 3rd, out of site under the basket.
The one from under the basket. According to her:
It shows the anger of the world"
Me, I thinks it is a blob.
She went on and on and on.
I supped ale and made more.
So, I made tyres.

Yes made him some time ago, made one for us, then various family members saw it and I had to make a litter of them, just hand plasma cut round a hardboard template.Did you make the cat too? Might replace ours with a plasma cut out one, easier going on the carpets

The eyes are acrylic discs laser cut by one of my neighbours who specialise in plastics, just drew a stripe on the back with a felt pen and stuck them on with double sided tape, they really shine in the sun, the photo dosn't do them justice.
